Persian colours and design – a visual feast

This gorgeous shot of the Nasir-al-Mulk Mosque, Shiraz, Iran from Pinterest (found on 99traveltips.com) can help you integrate both patterns and colours in your home that you never thought would work. The reason why they work so well here is that there is a huge contrast in between just the bottom carved posts of the arches and the highly decorated and colourful arches (with a geometric pattern) and vaulted ceiling (with a more flowing design). Use a photo or a few elements in a room to inspire your colour scheme, add a touch of colour or warmth to your interior.
